About Me
My career began with glass. Not metaphorically, but literally — and it taught me that products rarely succeed on utility alone.
In marketing & sales at PGP Glass, I worked in an industry that could turn humble sand into something elegant enough to sit on the shelves of global beauty brands. I spent those early years building export markets across Europe and Asia — working with Lakmé, Revlon and Maybelline — and learning that perception matters. Storytelling matters. The way something is positioned can change the way the world sees it.
That realisation quietly pushed me toward media. At The Times of India (BCCL), I entered an industry going through reinvention — print still carried enormous influence, but digital behaviour was reshaping audiences, brands and business models. Over more than two decades, I worked across print, digital, branded IPs, events, ecommerce, investments and revenue strategy, interacting with clients as diverse as Amazon, Flipkart, IKEA, Rebel Foods, Dominos, Croma, Abbott, Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and others . Some roles involved building revenue businesses. Others involved creating entirely new categories where no playbook existed yet. I transitioned roles and skills seamlessly.
What stayed constant was the intersection of storytelling, market creation and change — scaling ecommerce advertising 3x in one year, launching new product firsts at Times (Mumbai Mirror Gujarati), growing Maharashtra Times and Navbharat Times, structuring equity-for-media partnerships through Brand Capital, and later working on AI and CGI-led campaigns at Jetmetaphy. The work was always about how people engage with ideas, brands and experiences to deliver outcomes.
Today, as a Fractional CMO and advisor based in Mumbai but active globally, I work with companies navigating growth, media and emerging technology. I deliver outcomes required. Outside work, I write about AI, travel and gaming, my photography has great composition, and I still follow curiosity more than convention. It has taken me across 38 countries, nearly every Indian state, and through roles always connected by the common thread of revenues, marketing and category creation.
